DEEP-DISH PIZZA CASSEROLE

This Weight Watchers recipe for Deep-Dish Pizza Casserole puts a healthy spin on a classic that will leave you feeling full, but not guilty. It’s a great weeknight meal because it is quick and easy to throw together, and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chunky Italian-style tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.)  can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 6 oz shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425°
  • Cook ground beef in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring until it crumbles. Drain and return to skillet.
  • Add tomatoes to skillet and cook until heated through
  • Coat a 13.9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust dough and press into bottom and halfway up sides of baking dish.
  • Top the pizza crust dough with the meat and tomato mixture
  • Bake, uncovered, for 12 minutes. Top with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes or until crust is browned and cheese melts. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
